4.Youth Protection and Cannabis Laws

Protecting young people is one of the strongest arguments in cannabis policy debates. Countries that legalize cannabis usually enforce strict age limits and penalties for selling to minors. I think this issue matters because youth protection is a central goal of criminal law. According to  The New York Times , legalization has not caused a dramatic rise in teen cannabis use, though concerns remain. Research from the  CDC  shows that early cannabis use may affect brain development, supporting strict regulations for minors. This demonstrates how cannabis laws attempt to balance personal freedom with public safety APA Citations Centers   for  Disease Control and Prevention . (n.d.). CDC.   https://www.cdc.gov

2.Legal Conflicts and Regulation Challenges

In some countries, legal contradictions make cannabis policy extremely complicated. In the United States, for example, many states have legalized cannabis in some form, while federal law still classifies it as an illegal substance. Authorities must set THC limits, control packaging and advertising, prevent sales to minors, and...

3.Medical Cannabis and the law

Medical cannabis is often discussed as a healthcare issue, but is also deeply connected to law. In many countries , cannabis is legal for medical use, and patients must follow strict legal procedures. Doctors need special approval, and prescription are closely monitored by the government. This topic is important because patients can face criminal consequences if they cannot meet the legal requirements. According to the BBC , many patients are suffering to access the legal medical cannabis because of the high costs and limited availability, which might be the reason of illegal sources. AP News  reports that governments maintain strict control because they fear misuse and lack of regulation. Medical cannabis shows how legalization does not always mean easy access. Law continues to shape who can benefit from it and who can't which is with conditions. APA Citation Yustina, E. W., Simandjuntak, M. E., Nasser, M., Blum, J. D., & Trajera, S. M. (2023).
